Who the ZULU is for

Most pilots buy a paramotoring flying suit for one reason: the air at 2,000 feet is nothing like the air on the field. A 25 mph cruise plus a few thousand feet of altitude turns a mild afternoon into a cold one very quickly, and the ZULU is built for exactly that gap. It is a fair-weather suit rather than a deep-winter one, which keeps it light enough to launch in without cooking you on the ground.

It suits pilots flying spring, autumn and mild winter conditions, cross-country pilots who end up higher than they planned, and anyone tired of layering jackets that ride up inside the harness. Open-cockpit microlight, glider and leisure aviation pilots use the same suit.

Why three layers and not four

Bulk is the enemy on launch. A four-layer suit is warmer in genuine winter, but it also makes the run harder and eats into the arm movement you need on the risers. The ZULU sits deliberately in the middle: enough THINSULATE to stay comfortable to 5,000 feet, thin enough that you can still run, turn and flare naturally.

Details that matter in the air

The two full-length YKK side zips run waist to ankle, so the suit goes on over boots without taking them off. Double zippers let you vent from the bottom while staying sealed at the waist. The Lycra inner cuff with thumb insert stops the sleeve creeping up your forearm under glove pressure, and the expanding knee panel keeps the fabric from binding across your thighs in the seated flying position.

Four chest pockets, all Velcro-secured and two of them zipped, keep a radio, phone and keys reachable without unclipping. Leg loops stop the suit riding up under harness load.

Choosing your size

Size on chest measurement first, then sanity-check against height. If you fall between two sizes, take the larger one — this paramotoring flying suit is designed to be worn over flying layers, not against the skin. Long leg length is available in every size at no extra cost and is worth taking if you are at the upper end of the height range for your size.

Colour options

Available in All Black, Black/Orange and Black/Red. The high-visibility panels are worth considering if you fly in shared airspace or want to be easier to spot from the ground on a retrieve.

Care

Wash cool, do not tumble dry, and do not iron the PU-coated outer. Always check the garment label before washing.
