The first annual ParaJam in the Ham 2026 brought 290 paramotor pilots and hundreds of spectators to Richmond County Airport (KRCZ) in Rockingham, North Carolina from May 14-17, 2026 — making it the largest powered paragliding fly-in event ever held in the Southeast United States.
Hosted by Carolina PPG, the USPPA-certified powered paragliding school based at KRCZ, the four-day event was a charity fundraiser benefiting the USPPA, Aurora PPG, Rachel Breckenridge, and local Rockingham charities. From sunrise launches over the runway to evening sponsor showcases, ParaJam 2026 delivered exactly what it promised: a legal and fun celebration of paramotor flight.

Rockingham, North Carolina — The Perfect Paramotor Venue
Richmond County Airport (KRCZ) in Rockingham, NC offers everything a powered paragliding event needs: wide-open flying areas, uncontrolled airspace, on-site camping, and a community that welcomes aviation. Pilots flew sunrise launches over rolling Sandhills terrain, with morning and evening flight windows scheduled around the best Southeastern thermals.
The airfield’s flat grass runway and open agricultural land around it make Rockingham one of the top paramotor training destinations in the Southeast — which is exactly why Carolina PPG is headquartered here year-round.
